Paranormal Activity

Is officially the scariest film I've ever seen. Amazingly frightnening. I don't really get scared easy and this terrified me to the extreme.

I don't think I can sleep tonight.

Stephanie 24-11-2009 10:09 PM

Blair Witch Project scared me SO much, haven't ever been able to watch it again lol.

I really want to see PA, a lot of my friends have said it's not that bad but I'm not convinced. I love scary movies but have to be in the right frame of mind to watch them.

Niamh. 25-11-2009 02:35 PM

I hated The Blair Witch Project, didn't find it scary at all. Paranormal Activity looks scary though

Ninastar 25-11-2009 02:46 PM

I dont really get what its about? Is it people staying in haunted houses and it being recorded??

My friend knows an adult that went and he couldnt sleep at night and he was hearing voices in the downstairs of his house and outiside.

Extremely effective chiller that's powers are all the more astounding when you consider that it was made for about 15,000 dollars, which would probably earn you, what, say 5 seconds worth of footage in a normal hollywood horror? It'll be really interesting to see what the director comes up with next.

Tom4784 25-11-2009 05:10 PM

I wanna watch it, I don't think I'll find it scary though Blair witch failed to scare me as a kid so I doubt this will as an adult. It does look very good though and it's slain Saw so it earns some points with me

Barbie 25-11-2009 05:11 PM

i get scared really easily so i don't think i'd watch this no one has asked me to yet so all is good!

Its very strange that a horror movie finally is being bigged up by people.

The same with my friend, he doesnt get scared easily and is a huge horror fan, watched this and told me i must see it because its truelly frightening. Its about time that a horror is being spoken about as the horror genre has been flopping for a few years now.

I feel the need to see it, he gave me ratings on the last 2 horror movies he's seen, i always got The Fourth Kind, and Paranormal Activity confused but apparently its completely different. My friends ratings:

The Fourth Kind- 2.5/10
Paranormal Activity- 9/10

Ramsay 25-11-2009 05:14 PM

im watching it now
half way through it
you really do have to watch it in the dark or you wont get the same effect
its really realy scary

Yeh i just checked the stats, $15,000 is absoloutley nothing!! And it grossed $105m in USA and Canada alone which is alot and making it a HUGE success judging by the budget, it made like 500x more money than the amount spent and thats only from Canada and the US, i hope it does well over here, it will do judging by the Word of Mouth its recieving.

Ross 26-11-2009 11:43 PM

Saw this again earlier, even creepier! Wow.

Ramsay 27-11-2009 12:06 AM

Its soooo good

Rory 27-11-2009 12:36 AM

:/ I thought it was worse than Blair Witch Project. It was a bit creepy, but nothing to really write home about.

While I agree that it's nowhere near as wonderful as the Blair Witch, I still feel that the film possesses a genuinely eerie and sinister atmosphere that belies the miniscule budget that the director had at his disposal.

Christina 27-11-2009 11:37 AM

Going to see this tonight, i'm worried i'll regret seeing this late at night but ah well can't wait to see if it's as scary as they say :D

Ramsay 27-11-2009 11:42 AM

The best time to watch it is on your own on your computer in the dark

Agreed. Don't think it would work as well on the big screen.

:P I do have to give the production credit, miles creepier than anything released in the past year and on such a low budget. Still, it wasn't worth my $10.50

Christina 28-11-2009 10:42 AM

Brilliant film seriously. It was deffo one of the scariest films i've ever watched [along with Amityville Horror]. The ending just done it for everyone i think, the whole cinema was screaming their heads off.. and the bit where it says her whereabouts are unknown scared the crap outta my mate so she came out crying her eyes out. Deffo got alot scarier towards the end expecially the bed/dragging scene.

Callum 28-11-2009 01:41 PM

I want to see it but it looks so scary and the ending's meant to be real bad! :(

Sarah. 28-11-2009 07:06 PM

I saw this today. Was really freaky.. ending was horrible :(

Enid 28-11-2009 09:43 PM

With so much hype, I was disappointed. I did not find it to be as scary as anticipated. I was more impressed with the budget and revenue.

There are several endings, three as far as I know, so not everyone is going to see the same thing.

No.1 overrated film.
