Calling all Alex fans
 

Ok. I want to understand why you like Alex. I've taken off my rose tinted glasses for Spencer because he's not there now and i've been totally objective and watched him all week(not hard with E4's very own Alexcam), and I still for the life of me can't see the attraction. I find him incredibly creepy and that voice just really winds me up!!!!!!!!!!!. So Alex fans help me to see where i'm going wrong:devil:

I don't think my reasons for liking Alex are likely to change your mind, Chilled. We are all attracted to different qualities, after all. But, what the heck, I'll tell you anyway.

His humour
His kindness
His sense of right and wrong
His frailty
His naivity
His love of his parents

I like Alex because I think he is quirky and interesting to watch.

Part of the problem about this year's Big Brother, for me, is the lack of a diverse range of characters. They're all much of a muchness.
One of the interesting aspects of Big Brother is how people from different backgrounds react to each other and how housemates change in each other's company.
Alex stands out because he is a very different character to Jonny, PJ and Spencer when he was in the house, who are all typical lads.

He was very much the underdog in the first week when Jonny and everyone close to him were against Alex. I think many people thought that he looked like he was being bullied and they found this endearing.

Although I did quite like Spencer because of his quietness and unwillingness to get involved in the games at the beginning which I thought were false, I did want to see Spencer evicted instead of Alex.

Bubble from BB2 said on RI:SE the other day that although you might prefer to know or live with Spencer, Alex is better to watch on TV and I agree with this.

I'm not an Alex fan but i can understand why people want him to stay in the house,he made me laugh last night for the first time when he got in his gear before the task with all the food shoved down the sides of his trowsers :laugh::laugh::laugh:

I like Alex because as soon as he got back into the poor side he put on his "I am poor" bandana again!

He is funny to watch, and he doesn't bore me like some of the others.

saying that though, I really do hope that he gets away from Adele and Jade because they're likely to lose him a lot of popularity with their constant nastiness!

Alex is ok in small doses. I think he changes for the better when he is on the poor side but he also much nicer when he is not in such close association with sly Adele.

I want Kate to win very much, but if it has to be a guy as seems to be the case here in the UK, then I would have to chose Jonny over Alex.

I'm with you Chilled, he just annoys me. He does have small bursts where he makes me laugh, but not enough to make me like him - I just find him so..............(lost for words!)

I suppose you could say it was because Spencer left instead of him (fix!! :laugh:) but I disliked him before that, so it isn't, i just can't see the appeal.

I think the public seem to be cooling on him....

Alex is the best one in the house.

My family will always switch on to the E4 feed showing him.

He is just so much more interesting than the rest.

Wish he'd distance himself from Adele though.

Alex is funny and he is always nice to people and trys to cheer them up when people in the house are upset. Alex should be the 2002 BB No. 1!:spin:

I agree, he needs Adele to go this week, he let Sandy bring him into a lot of bitching too. :mad: :mad:
I did think at one time he would win, but he has done himself no favors, they remind me of Narinda and Brian bitching all the time and when Narinda went it really helped Brian, so maybe he can turn it around, once Adele has gone :laugh:

I think that Alex is a genuinely nice bloke, who has enough self-confidence to stand up for himself when he feels that he needs to. He is sure of himself enough that he doesn't have to keep on proving himself in the way that a number of the others do.

Well he has a monotone voice, is not funny in the deliberate sense. however, he is very funny when he does not intend to be.
I find him very camp and not the kind of guy ,mmmm, who girls might be attracted to. Don't understand the whole Adele thing.
He remind me of a (camp) guy I went to school with (name with held) but a winner??? I don't know.

Alex has proved to be his own man right from the start, he had his principles and wasn't afraid to express them for fear of being nominated!

Saying that though, I'm still glad that Adele has gone because I really do think that she was trying to get him into her way of thinking, as did sandy in the first couple of weeks.

Alex doesn't need these people around him, he can do fine on his own, and he still gets my vote!

Hi... don't want to appear bitchy myself but it's a little pet hate of mine when people spell Narinder with an 'a'! I'd like to think that whatever people think of others, they have the respect to call them by their proper name.
