Really loved Fame Academy - its winners were actually talented. If not well-marketed.

arent most of them the same???

Pop Idol. Legends like Will Young, Sam and Mark, Rosie Ribbons and of course.. Rik Waller! I prefer the Pop Idol theme tune!

In Fame Academy the contestants chose who went out the final 2, right? Loved that :)

Fame Academy was a no frills talent search, artists had to right their own material etc

Popstars series 1 was a behind the scenes style show, series 2 was similar but interactive

Pop Idol was Stars in their Eyes with a recording deal at the end

X Factor is a huge production and pantomime, its all about the judges. The acts are just there to make it look like the show is going somewhere

x factor - more talent than pop idol etc.
