Very True Stu.

Niamh. 09-12-2009 09:29 AM

Very, very drunk men are as common and as un-attractive as very, very drunk women.

Stu 09-12-2009 09:31 AM

Us men can handle our booze far better though .

Ah, those men are hard at work drinking, well deserved after a hard weeks labour fixing cars and building bridges while the women make the sandwiches.

Ladette was more of a 90's thing. Now they're just called slags and chavs.

Enid 09-12-2009 12:18 PM

Why doesn't it work arista? Do you prefer having a woman at home cooking your meal every night? **** that. We have more opportunities. I used to sleep around and I drink heavily. Does that mean I'm a ladette? No, it means I enjoy myself.

****ing sick of these double standards.

"Ladylike"

I hate that word so much. Women are just like men. We drink, we have sex, we **** MASSIVE turds, yet you guys seem to think we are meant to be these fragile little petals.

Woman are Not Like Men.

On the Front Like in our USA/UK Invasions Army
no Women are Not Trusted enough for the Front Line.

Utter Fact.

Enid 09-12-2009 12:26 PM

Okay, but that's the army. Nothing to do with women going out and getting trashed, which they have every right to do.

What I find most interesting though is the word they used to coin this type of behaviour, drawing emphasis to the lad culture that it bears direct relation to, and actually in a strange way it heightens the inequality between the sexes. Well, in my eyes anyway. What's just laddish behaviour for the fellas is intolerable and socially unnacceptable for the ladies to engage in.

I mean, if we're going to have a pop at women for feeling justified in acting like men on occassion, why don't we talk about mens behaviour too. What disgusting things can we lay blame to as a sex in the past 10 or 20 centuries when women had been oppressed, denied any legal rights or say in any matters? Eh, war, rape, domestic abuse..... it's neverending really.

I could show many pictures of men doing that too. Your point is...?

Dr.Gonzo 09-12-2009 12:29 PM

Enid 09-12-2009 12:32 PM

I COULD leave men out, if the thread was justified, but it's not. As I said before, it's full of double standards. Personally, I don't see any harm with men OR women going out, getting drunk and having sex.

InOne 09-12-2009 12:32 PM

Maybe the point he is trying to make is Men were always crazy anyway, but now Women, over the past decades are following suit. But it certainly takes away the myth that Women are more sensible and mature than men. Infact, they're just about equal, right... ;)
