TV possibly broken? help?
 

Ok so today i was watching something on my TV in my room when all of a sudden the picture turned into a black background with a grey thing in middle. I have no picture and some though not very good sound.

Anyone tell me if my TV has broken or what could be wrong with it. (preferably one with an electronics background although any advice would help)

Quick update: now i don't even get a grey blob in centre of screen. It comes up blank then switches itself off after a few seconds.

It also makes a wierd beep noise while turned on.

are you sure you are not watching your microwave by mistake?

no although it might be quite interesting to watch.

Get a tv specialist.
thats what we did, and our tv got fixed and its fine now:)

Time for a new tv i think.

I had it a few years and it has done well so i might just buy a new TV.

On the plus side it gives me a good excuse to buy a brand new HD-ready flatscreen TV. :)
