Let's hope this close competition give Simon a boot up the arse for next year to actually do something actually different. The past four years have been copy and paste jobs basically, the songs are basically the same and the videos are the same. It's been the same thing each year.

Meh I like it but Simon bigged it up to be something much bigger than before when its not that different really, instead of standing with candles like Alex hes stood in water.

I like it, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of clips of the puddle and London backdrop scenes though... compared to previous years.

They are, listen to them back to back (If you can, I couldn't) They are all basically the same. The arrangement, the gospel choir, the key change. It's the same song every year with different lyrics.

that is because X Factor is about THE TV SHOW

i am blue in the face with saying this but people still think that it is a talent show and its all real.
