How long are TIBB members known as "newbies"

Just wanted to ask in your opinion.. how long are TIBB members known as "newbies" when they first join?

Dr.Gonzo 22-12-2009 04:24 PM

I'm a noob. I stroke the teat of ze mods.

nomnomnom

Captain.Remy 22-12-2009 04:24 PM

Until they make themselves stand out and post regularly. That's how I see it anyway.

Stu 22-12-2009 04:25 PM

Until they stop acting like newbs. Some people are never newbs. Some people have thousands of posts and are still newbs in my eyes.

What if the member stands out and posts regularly but NOT all TIBB members notice but SOME do?

It goes with the flow really, it's not something predictable.

You're talking about me, aren't you? I knew you liked me, but I just didn't know how much. Like, I didn't know you liked me.

Enid 22-12-2009 04:28 PM

I dunno. I still consider myself a newb.

Someone needs to restrain the Dr...

MrGaryy 22-12-2009 04:29 PM

when they are fully integrated with a group or the forum in general.

Now you're talking.

danda012 22-12-2009 04:38 PM

I'm probably still a newb. I don't post enough plus I'm too lazy to upload an avatar or signature picture. Plus i spend a lot of time in Arcade (though i need to catch up with some tournaments i still have rounds to play).

Stacey. 22-12-2009 04:47 PM

imo ,for about 3 months :)

Stephanie 22-12-2009 04:47 PM

am i a newbie lmao?

LemonJam 22-12-2009 04:50 PM

I'd say 6 monthsish.

Firewire 22-12-2009 04:52 PM

Depends.

If someone joins and in about 3 months has thousands of posts and is pretty respected throughout then forum, they probably aren't as much of a newbie as others.

atieah2009 22-12-2009 04:53 PM

It ultimately depends on how like able the character is in my opinion. In some cases it could just be there impact, Such as Wombai he does not hold anything back, his opinions are strong and very logical. And i would say he is on the same level as Arista in the serious debates area (if not stronger!!!)

Damaris 22-12-2009 04:53 PM

I'd say when they are seen as regular posters and members. That didnt make sense...

Yeahh!

Beastie 22-12-2009 04:55 PM

Lol I have nearly 10,000 posts but still think I am a newbie. I came on the forum to being disliked/hated to now a few members liking me.

Jack_ 22-12-2009 04:56 PM

Am I a newbie? I joined in May 2008, but meh :conf:

Z 22-12-2009 04:56 PM

You need to be on the forum regularly and have widespread recognition among the established members. For example, I don't consider Enid or Stephanie as newbies because they're recognisable and memorable, whereas I tend to forget a lot of other people who joined this year.
