Lol, firstly you can't just buy BARB boxes. They're handed out to people who are in a sample.

I have A Sky+ HD Box, so does it mean I dont contribute to the ratings if I dont have one of these Barb Boxes?

You can't buy them anyway, and the new sample of people to use BARB boxes for next year have already been chosen (from the test runs its been said ratings for most TV shows will rise just a little next year)

No Wonder they bloody think the ratings are 1 Million, there could be like 4 Million watching and we wouldnt even know it.

Yes but its been the same sample for years, so BB5 averaging 5m, and BB10 averaging 2.4m, with the same sample still means we lost half an average since then.

But BB5 could have been 9m average, and BB10 could have been 4.5m average... we just dont know.
But i heard its about 96% accurate.

Statistically the margin of error would be very small - just a few thousand at most. Having a sample of 5000 therefore is no less accurate than a sample of 50,000 or 500,000 for example - so those rolling out such excuses are basically desperate idiots.

On digitalspy.co.uk it said the new system of BARB ratings which kicks off today will see ratings increase! come on CBB
