Your favourite Games of 09?
 

If you could pick ONE game for each platform to be the best of the year what would you pick? For me It'd be:

Xbox 360: Left 4 Dead 2
I loved the original and played it consistantly until I got the sequel. The sequel's bigger ,tougher and just plain better I think. The only thing I hate about it is the useless Team AI at times.

Nintendo Wii: Resident Evil The Darkside Chronicles
I really liked this game, a lot of critics didn't like the action based camera system but I really enjoyed how the game felt. it was like being in Cloverfield and I thought it worked well for the pacing and such. A gem of a game.

Nintendo DS: Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor
I'm not sure if this has seen a release in the UK yet but I remember buying an american copy from an import shop down the road and I think it's brilliant. It's an RPG set in Modern Day Japan where a sudden quarantine traps everyone in Tokyo with demons running riot. The story and gameplay is good and there's a lot of choices and endings which just add to the replay.

PSP: Dissidia Final Fantasy
Like with L4D i've played this consistently since I got it, it's easy to get into and it's fun and addictive to level up your characters and such. Plus it has a large story mode and the Replay Editor will bring out the john woo in anyone that touches it.

2009 Failed at games, most games were ****.

For me its GTA: Episodes from Liberty City but L4D2 is close behind.

I think 09 has been quite a good year, although this year (or rather the first quarter or so) will probably blow it out the water.

The new GTA games just don't grab me really, the last GTA game I loved was Vice City. I actually prefer Saints Row to GTA now for some reason.

This **** is amazing, I played until 5am/6am with my best friend at it, it's so good.

the wii version of New!Super Mario Bros! hehe but that's pretty much all i play soo =P

It has to be inFAMOUS and Street Fighter IV for me. That may change when I play Assassin's Creed 2 though.

I've only really played CODMW2. Epic stuff.

oh and this game a friend has on the PS3...not sure what it's called, it has some guy who has all these freaky superpowers (can run up buildings, rip people apart, fall insane heights and not get hurt) and basically just destroys tonnes of ****...it's something apocalyptic I think. But it's epic.

Wii : Monopoloy literally ruined my life.

Still doing great things with Fallout 3.
