Watch some old CBB clips on YouTube?

Stu 03-01-2010 02:39 PM

I know it's 'cool' to diss threads like this and any excitement about BB nowdays but I have to admit, I'm bored with the whole post New Year's thing already so this is the only thing on offer right now that excites me. I slept in late today to lessen the amount of hours it would take until tonight!

InOne 03-01-2010 02:39 PM

I just got up, sort of helps

The whole point of excitement with something like this is the hope that it will be good. I'd love your crystal ball.

Everyone will agree, that CBB4 was one of the best series ever and that had about 2 well known housemates in it.

Since when has fame been an indication of entertainment value? Last year arguably had the most famous line up ever.

Last year was the best CBB ever! I especially loved the highlight show where we were shown the housemates eating and not saying a word for about two minutes! :joker:

But personal opinion aside, fame certainly is not an indication of entertainment value, and you have never seen this lot together on camera for more than five minuets, making your expert prediction on the show fizzle into obscurity.

The most famous ones in CBB4 were a washed up 90s TV presenter who everyone hated due to the pool controversy, a poor mans Jordan and the member of a failing mock rap group. That wasn't just the best celebrity series, but best overall series imo.

Meanwhile last year was a very strong line up, OK they weren't all A list but 80% of them, people knew who they were without having to wiki them. It was the worst series ever.

I have a little theory that the more famous you are, the more you have to lose. Those who aren't famous don't have careers that can fail even more or any kind of status that could be wiped away, so I think actual celebrities become more reserved.

I'm listening to "Depressive/Suicidal Black Metal" to pass the time. Yes, it's an actual genre, haha.
