wow i just noticed they used to be a gate at the top of the house and then you walked into the big brother doors why they took the gate down

Maybe they just took it down whilst they were doing construction
They did have that odd roman decoration stuff round the door, so maybe that's why
Unless they've decided to live on the wild side and scrapped the gate!

Who says they took the gate down? It was visible on the latest pictures.

EDIT : Do you mean the new Dante's Inferno gate or the security gate?

its pretty pointless really surely someone could just stand on the hand rail climb past it then carry on into the house,
