Channel 4 Has KILLED BB :(:(

1st thing the time BB is on ..
Saturday 16th January, 9-10pm
Sunday 17th January, 8-9pm
Monday 18th January, 8-9pm & 10:20-10:50pm
Tuesday 19th January, 10-11:15pm
Wednesday 20th January, 10:20-11:35pm
Thursday 21st January, 10:00-11:10pm
Friday 22nd January, 9-10pm & 10:35-11:10pm

AWFUL... if they had it on 9pm every night more people would watch and having it a jumbled mess will confuse people as to when bb is on then if they miss a few they might not even bother tuning in again.

2nd ..
C4 dont want BB to rate well as then another channel might pick it up and then compete with C4 next year with ratings and beat them.

3rd
No live means they can edit it however they want and supposidly c4 have the final say on who is in the house so maybe big names did want to go in but got tunred down as they were scared that it would make the press more interested and would get higher ratings.

there are many more reasons tho what do you guys thinkk?

I prefer 9.00-10.00

RealityTVisGreat 06-01-2010 06:18 PM

Yes, a very definite yes, Ch4 seems determined to run both BB and Cbb into the ground and couldn't care less what the viewers think or want, you can tell their opinion of the viewers by the low standard of BBLB and that awful 'presenter', it's barely watchable

crossieKIDD 06-01-2010 06:21 PM

i bet when the launch show got as much viewers as it did they thought sht so jumbled up the schedule for the last week to make sure it averaged lolw as possible ... Zezi was better ;) hahahaha

Smithy 06-01-2010 06:22 PM

But 9pm is the watershed. It is so obvious what they are up to.

Yes but on this Celeb Edition Editing for 10PM slot
seems to work better.

And with over 2million watching at 10PM
Endemol and Ch4 are happy.

They have done for the last 2 years.
Shame as it has so much potential (this series).
But lets just watch and enjoy.

Brad. 06-01-2010 06:47 PM

BB's already been axed, who cares about the timing of the HL shows tbh?

Stacey. 06-01-2010 06:47 PM

i like 9pm - 10pm better.
As More People might watch it.

Maybe not an eviction but another housemate going in. There's rumours it might be Gazza but his state of mind is a worry and could he take the pressure? Whatever, Vinnie has said he'll look after him if he does go in which hopefully would stop these ridiculous rumours of him walking out, it should put an end to his seemingly waning popularity too. TIBB if you're listening, a refresh of the win poll might be a good idea just to see how opinions have changed, if at all.

Not really. Up until just last year CBB was always fixed at 9pm (and apart from CBB5, eviction shows ran in the same hour-long slots as the highlights, and weren't split like in the summer).

As for the regular show - apart from the first few weeks of BB1 when it aired at 11pm (and 8pm on Mondays), it was pretty much fixed at 10pm certainly on weeknights through to BB6 (weekends have usually been 9pm). In BB7 they moved it to 9pm following the success of CBB4, but soon began pushing shows back to 10pm, whilst ever since it's been a mixture of the both.

Welcome to 2007.

They should have never moved it from its 10pm slot and it shouldn't have been extended beyond 10.50pm as it was between BB5 and 7. 1 hour and 5 mins is too long (BB8-present) and half an hour was too short (BB1-4).

Smithy 06-01-2010 07:32 PM

georgehudson 06-01-2010 08:00 PM

Friday 29th January. Davina is otherwise engaged on Sundays from the 24th.

pixee 06-01-2010 11:02 PM

They want it to be a success, when programmes are dying or they want to kill them off the first thing they can do is mess the scheduling around. So I can only assume they want it to fade off the channel rather than go out with high ratings.
