BBSPY Exclusive:"There was never an eviction planned for friday"

bbspy can confirm that tomorrow’s live shows will go ahead, but it won’t be an eviction and there will be no crowd present.

In an email to ticket holders today, vendor ApplauseStore said that the ‘outside eviction’ has now been cancelled due to the recent heavy snowfalls that have covered most of the UK.

However, a spokeswoman for Channel 4 told us: “There was never an eviction planned for tomorrow and there will still be a show with Davina.”

It is currently unknown what will happen in tomorrow’s shows.

Glad they've had the sense to axe the crowd tomorrow, but ridiculous yet again the producers don't get that Celebrity BB runs just 3-4 weeks, not 13 weeks, so HMs should be evicted at every possible opportunity - not added to the mix. The only celeb worth the late entrance tomorrow would be Pamela Anderson.

And if as it looks the first eviction isn't until Day 13, that would be the latest first eviction in all series since BB2.

I actually think it's a good idea that they're not having an eviction tomorrow.

If there was an eviction taking place, then Stephen would have probably been evicted. He's been an entertaining housemate so far so that's the last thing the producers would want at this early stage.

So what if the first eviction is later than normal? They could have a double next Friday, easy.

LaLaLand 07-01-2010 04:35 PM

There's going to be a task and/or a new female arrival, George Lamb let slip of the new "totty" when Jodie MArsh/Rick Edwards were on BBLB the other day.

Jodie: "I think the lads need some totty..."
Lamb: "Well tune in on Friday to see some new totty..." then moved swiftly on.

The producers shouldn't be scared of that though, especially as time and time again in previous series it's been shown when you get rid of a dominant character, other storylines then begin to develop. Leave them in too long and viewers soon get bored - and frankly we were all bored of Steven by Day 2.

I reckon it is a new housemate. But I'm glad there's no eviction, in a way. Last year we saw Beinizir leave only 4 days in, we didn't really get to know her, yet again it'd be nice to have an eviction, but on Sunday and then the second on friday. Actually, it's a mistake, their should be an entrance and an eviction!

Speak for yourself. Not all of us are bored by Stephen. I agree that there's too much focus on him at the moment, but he's much more entertaining than people like Dane Bowers or Sisqo who seem to do nothing.

I don't want one housemate to dominate the show, just like you. But the show's better off with Stephen in the house for longer. The editing could be improved to ensure there's not too much focus on Steve.

I understand your views about the show only being 4 weeks long and that you want an eviction in the first week. But I think it could all work out fine, if this happens:

Week 1 Friday - one goes in
Week 2 Friday - double eviction (10 left)
Week 3 Monday - eviction (9 left)
Week 3 Friday - double eviction (7 left)
Week 4 Monday - double eviction (5 left)
Week 4 Friday- final

Frankly, I don't think there's anything wrong with that. A double eviction on the final Monday, then no further evictions until the final.

If it means that the bigger characters are in the show for a week longer, then it's fine by me.

RealityTVisGreat 07-01-2010 05:38 PM

There is an eviction actually this friday, I refused to pay my rent!

That sounds logical. However what if 6 are in the final this year? It could happen. It happened in BB8 as far as I remember, and other years? I'd prefer 5 but has it been confirmed that 5 are definatly in the final?

Nice to see Channel 4 are listening to viewers and putting the first eviction in the second week

... they just chose the wrong series.

Channel 4 do the scheduling and tell the producers when to kick someone out/put someone else in. If they want a live show on a certain day, they'll get it.

Exactly, well basically that disrupts the whole structure of the show. They might have to cancel an eviction or two if someone walks out. The main thing is they need 5 or 6 housemates for the final, that's the bottom line, so from now until the 27th they need to get rid of some.

Since BB9, they've had 5 in the final which I think is the right number. 6 is too much, while 4 is okay but that just won't happen.

President 07-01-2010 05:54 PM

It doesn't matter if someone walks out as then they'll just turn the final double eviction into a normal single eviction.

Very unlikely that someone will walk just a couple of days before the final. If someone does, then sobeit, have 4 in the final.

6 is too much, 5 is perfect and yes, 4 would be ok. But It's most likely it'll be 5, unless someone walks on the penultimate day, which is VERY unlikely ;)

Why do you think someone will walk on the day before the final? :D

No one's ever walked in the final week.
