I have a question about the UK.
What is the UK exactly?
Are Britain, Ireland, Scotland and Wales part of the same country and separated like states in the US? Or are they separate nations altogether? Example New York, Maryland, California are states that make the USA. I'm pretty confused about that. |
Britain is another name for the UK.
Scotland have a different government to England while I'm not sure about Wales. Northern Ireland is also part of the UK. Finally they are all seperate countries and in some sports play as Great Britain while in others as Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. |
Yes Top End of Ireland still United Kingdom Rule
We are stuck with a no good Un Elected One Eyed Scottish Brown PM he is a utter fool. America lucky it bought Alaska cheap. Oil. |
Youre asking me about Geography?!!!!!!!!!!!! :laugh2:
sophie reade would know more than me! |
So people in Scotland and in Great Britain have the same citizenship?
But are under different governments? |

Regarding Scotland, this page might help also:

Outside of the UK people see the UK as England
It is a piece of crap that benefits England and the sooner it is consigned to the dustbin of history the better. This would lead to England finding the pride and identity it so sorely lacks England is England, Wales is Wales, Scotland is Scotland and Ireland is all ****ed up. |
Northern Ireland is Britain, they have 6 counties. The Republic of Ireland is totally seperate.
|
danda Wales has a different government but I think they essentially get power from Central Govenment (Eng) via devolution.
|
This is not a serious debate, have you heard of *******ing google? Silly yank.
edit:Would you please stop swearing! |
Ireland has 32 counties, the northern 6 counties are in the uk. The republic of Ireland has its own government.

Scotland and Whales and England are part of the UK.
Northern Ireland is sadly part of the UK. The REP Of Ireland is not part of the UK. Thats basically it :) |
Basically Ireland, Scotland and Wales are just smaller, less good countries,,,hanging around the "supreme being" that is England!
