Channel 4 to give Davina McCall another shot at a chat show

According to The Mirror, both presenters have been lined up for 'live auditions' along with Phil Spencer and Kirstie Allsopp.

Reports claim that up to ten stars have been approached by bosses to host the show one week at a time. Whoever appeals the most will then go on to become a permanent replacement for O'Grady.

"We have been inundated," an insider is quoted as saying. "The teatime slot is a real favourite because it means they can be on telly every day but there is less pressure than with a primetime show.

"We plan to have eight to ten presenters for a week each in spring. Then we'll decide whether to give the gig to one or carry on with rotating names. It's a bit like staging live auditions.

"People are desperate to get involved - having a chatshow is the Holy Grail for lots of these presenters."

I think C4 should just knock the chat show idea on its head. It takes a lot to come across a show that works, ITV's attempts to replace Paul show that. You can take the biggest name (e.g. ITV's Sharon Osbourne Show) and it can fall flat on its face.

Or Channel 4 should just bring back Des & Mel :tongue: They've covered for Paul before and people like them so ...

Lmao I love Channel 4 now trying to replace the shows its axing.

You know how they axed BB and Paul O Grady and god knows what else, because there trying to revamp the channel and give it a new look.. probley indian by the look of it...Anyway, they'll fail.

He annoyes me, I have the Family Fortunes game for the Wii and have to put it on Mute because of his voice lol

So Its going to be intresting to see what other stupid ideas C4 come up with to replace its popular shows that are now being axed..

And it will be so funny when this new Channel 4 flops with all its crap new shows.
