I was wondering why do most people on here ignore the obvious about Katia -
Yes, she is "famous" due to her relationship to Ronnie Woods. Of course. But so far as I know, no one auditions to be on CBB! She was approached. She was offered money. She is not rich. Why not go if they ask you to and pay you for it? Would you have refused? On what grounds? Not to offend the other Z-list celebrities there?

What baffles me too is why almost everyone assumes that she was with Woods for money? Yeah, I know, he has wrinkles, how horrible! He has "trollface"! OMG! How can people who have never even met him be sure that that is all there is to him?!

Let´s assume for a moment she didn´t get involved with Woods to become famous, but fell for him, and became a tabloid fodder as a result. Impossible? I don´t think so at all, personally.
So she is already thrust into this situations when complete strangers make judgements on her, not really knowing anything about her. Why not go on CBB, get paid and may be have a chance to show people that she is not the "russian golddigging slut" she has been branded as? And get paid for it too. Ok, I admit, if she did believe she´d be able to change public´s perception of her, it was naive, but well... she IS young.

Have you noticed the epithets most used when talking about this story and her? Ronnie is a "wrinkly trollface" and she is a "golddigging russian w**re". How very mature! Comments about their relationship and her have said more about the commenters than about Ronnie and Katia themselves!

We will ALL get wrinkles at some point or end up looking like Ivana, George Cloonie is supposedly the sexiest man on earth and I have no idea why, so there´s no arguing about taste, and we may ALL fall in love with someone who happens to be rich famous and not look like Clooney. And we ALL might have been born to Russian parents, in which case, of course, we´d automatically be goldddigging wh**res.
I wish people would stop being so one-dimensional and simplistic and sheep-like and just use their brains at least once in a while. I don´t think it´s too much.

The only time I've seen Woods outwith the rock n roll setting was as a guest on Top Gear.........he came across as a really nice bloke who was surprisingly coherant after all the braincells he must have killed. And quite well grounded for a multi-millionaire.

So it's not inconceivable Woods and Katia had a genuine thing going, and that she's not solely a moneygrabbing tart.

It is really impossible to say if she would have fallen for Ronnie if he was a pennyless hobo, I doubt it.

And yep she was approached or her agent was, she wasn't made go in the house. I can't see how her having a two day relationship with Jonas, breaking up with him and than getting on his bed the following day, is in any way helping her.

I think she is out of her element in BB, the fact that she is here suggests she will do anything for money.

Well she must know she isn't a celeb, she was offered money to be in a celeb show, surely she must expect some backlash.

That is more of that one-dimensional rubbish already mentioned - most of the nasty comments about her are assumptions - not fact! And they are all in there for the money - and to salvage failing careers - they are all as bad as each other for that! You can't just single out one - that is totally illogical.

Such posters just let their emotions and biases cloud their judgement!

I'm not singling her out, this is a thread about her, not all the other housemates.

I see your point. And if she didn´t expect backlash, that certainly shows her to be naive. Not willing to do anything for money. And, by the way, we don´t know that she didn´t expect it. She didn´t cry because she suddenly became aware that she doesn´t belong in the house. When people snap and cry its usually as a result of complex, built up emotions.

Past your bedtime????? - you should be in the house and go to bed at 10pm too.

Ok I was wrong to say she'd do anything for money, that was unfair on her. And by they way I think your first post in this thread is great.

I agree that her crying is complex, it could have been triggered by Jonas being nasty towards her regardless of what he said.

I only get emotional about serious subjects such as women's rights and extremism! This forum is so anti women that it has become necessary to take a stand!

i just wand to add, its funny how everybody labels her a family breaker etc. but fail to notice the fact that she was 19 at the time, but Ronnie was 62, old enough to know better, eh? obviously his d**k was more important to him then his family, so whos fault is that now??

I think there are some jerk posters who sometimes post crap but there are a lot of nice guys here too.

It is full of it! But what really annoys me is the amount of girls that do it! Girls judge the female contestants worse than the blokes. They quite blatantly call girls names for behaviour that, in the same post, they will applaud in the guys. It is sickening - and, yes, that sometimes gets me emotional!

If that is incorrect - why did you remove Katia from your sig and not Jonas. What happened between them took two. And I think most people acknowledge that he was the main instigator. She just responded.

And don't use Katia's so-called boyfriend of a few weeks as an excuse, because it is not - especially bearing in mind that there a lot of question marks hanging over Jonas and his supposed single status.

Exactly! And what do we know about the state of his family before he met Katia? He stayed with his wife and raised his kids, he didn´t leave them when they were little. It is more than 50% of the population can say about themselves! Staying with my husband when we hit a rough patch, when our child was little, was the hardest hell I have ever been through. I respect people who are capable of that. I can´t think why Katia should be responsible for keeping Ronnie with a woman he didn´t want to be with anymore.
