Samantha Janus who plays Ronnie is 37 years old, but how old is the woman who is playing her mother?

Put 20 years onto Sam's age, you get 57. And she could be 60.

From some angles she only looks a few years older than Sam. What do you think of this casting?

Wow, that role of Ronnie's mum is played by Glynis Barber!!!

I did not recognise her. Looks completely different!!!

I didn't reconise her either.

I think it's good casting really, especially appearance wise as she looks so similar to Ronnie. From that point of view she's believable as the mother.

I remember he getting mowed down in Emmerdale when she played the detective xD

My bruv used to fancy her when she was in Dempsey and Makepiece, and he didn't recognise her.

Dezzy, I agree she does look like Ronnie.

Hmm, Jill Gascoine was the original choice to play the role.
