Theist's say that it was the devil's doing a lot of the time. Others say that it was God punishing sinners, a bit like Noah's Arc.

But, if you believe that God created the world, then that means he created natural disasters.

If he didn't want natural disasters to occur, he wouldn't have made them possible, would he?

Ah now Joe, you should know by now that these religionists always somehow have an answer for everything. It's the beauty of having an inconsistent scripture you can take bits from that's longer than all the Harry Potter books put together.

Exactly. Thus meaning that either God killed millions of people just for the **** of it, or that it was just nature doing it's thing and God doesn't exist.

No such word as early. Anyway, do you think this was God's work? If not why did he allow it?

if you cannot be sure that what happened did not happen for a very good reason then there is no debate.

Other than Scientific, there is no logical reason why it would happed.
