I dont think BB want Vinnie to win anymore*Odds Included*

He has got disastrous edits both last night and tonight. Im glad that they are starting to potray him in the correct way. He has literally said 3 really arrogant comments tonight alone.

He will continue drifting in the odds market, he is down to 2nd fave now, he could slip further. Considering LOADS of money was put on him before the show, he has dropped fast because with that amount of money to win in the early days, it would have taken a lot to take him off the fave podium... and it just happened.

Look at this:

http://www.oddschecker.com/specials/...her/win-market

Everyone is shortening and Vinnie is doing the opposite, at this rate, people will start overtaking him.

A lot of what he did was glossed over and he has been supported on BBLB

Looks like BB want an actual celebrity to win the last celeb BB and they now seem to be championing Stephanie

BrianC 23-01-2010 09:19 PM

I don't think they're championing Stephanie really. She's got a good edit the past couple of days but that's more to the fact that not much else has been happening, and the bitching isn't happening as much.

They were slaughtering her last week, and highlighting the fact that she nominated Ivana like there was no tomorrow. Then tonight we suddenly get a vague explanation about that, as well as Stephanie in otherwise a very positive light. Plus they shown her slightly turning on Vinnie and being very positive about Sisqo.

Please never quote odds unless you fully understand a BB Market. It has the potential to cost real peaople real money in the real world which is not nice - what is your Betfair ID?

Here are my thoughts/explanation what happened since Friday:

I've no idea if Dane has any chance or not to really win (it is irrelevant to the following), but in gamblers' jargon this is known as a "ramp".

Under a ramp you place bets [say on Dane] at the longer odds when something semi significant occuring. The process of buying the bets alone causes the odds to tumble, then you 'sell' by laying against [betting Dane doesn't win] at the lower odds.

Easist analogy I can think of is the Stock Market in reverse - buy high sell low. The difference between the 'buy' and 'sell' becomes pure profit irrespective of the outcome of the event in question.

It is the way Stock Market traders operate - they don't actually care if X company invent a cancer cure or not, or if the crops are gonna fail in Kansas - just the profit to be made on trading at the correct time.

come on people, lets be sensable about this, dont let dane bowers win just because he was the lucky one to get a good task to do. this is dane bowers we're talking about here, one half of the worst porn film ever made

I agree completely.

If it weren't for the Tree of Temptation, everyone would've forgotten that Dane was still in the house. I guess it's a good way for BB to try and make the final week a little more exciting, though. If secret tasks make the final more competitive, why not?

Im sorry for not being a betting expert, I just quoted the odds because there was a change in odds and positioning, and the fact that everyone is shortening to win besides Vinnie. Most people here wouldnt understand most of your post, I just put it simply.

Jords 23-01-2010 10:40 PM

Dane first? :bored:

Sorry, dont mean to sound harsh, but the words probably confused others lol.

Patrick 23-01-2010 10:46 PM

This is so amazing, I loved when this happened with Freddie lol

I imagine alot of viewers who dont check odds/forums will be shocked if he doesnt win, it will be wicked.

I remember laughing at Stacey on here in Week 1 when she said Dane would win.. I wasnt the only one laughing but now it could actually happen.. Wow.

Dane owes it all to the Tree of Temptation though.

Wouldnt mind if he wins, Would prefer Alex as it would shock everyone.. Basshunter or Nicola would be great too but if it was Alex it would be great as he went in and said 'I want to turn these boos to cheers' and everyone was like 'yeah yeah Whatever..' and now he has done that..

Nae worries - I feel suitably chastised. I believe Vinnie is in a false position anyway as a lot of the money from punters i.e not gamblers) was put on before the series even started. I would more quote BBO polls or front page here which I find more reliable as a gambler myself.

ButterflyGirl 23-01-2010 11:34 PM

He thinks its his house!

CaudleHalbard 23-01-2010 11:42 PM

I think BB have sensed that Vinnie would be an unpopular winner, and they wouldn't want the winner coming out to a chorus of boos!

People like Dane and Nicola are pretty bland and inoffensive and don't really make people feel stongly either for or against.

Emm - some winners have already come out to boos. It is the nature of the Lady Chav audience. C4/Endthemall don't give a toss so long as the advertisers keep bidding for the ad breaks based on past/projected viewing figures

CaudleHalbard 24-01-2010 12:22 AM

Yes there are always some boos even for winners but a CBB winner who gets overwhelmingly booed.......... well, I can't think of one!

BB is just showing Vinnie how he is. They couldn't make up those clips.
