Brits vs VMAs

Probably the 2 best awards show in the world (based on entertainment)

but which do you prefer?

Firewire 23-01-2010 09:21 PM

Um they are both different though.

1 is for videos.

1 is for British music.

what are you on, vmas have like only 4 awards that are for videos and brits have international act awards as well

anyway if they werent different how would you be able to judge between them :bored:

ILoveTRW 23-01-2010 09:55 PM

god i would of thought at least a few of you would of heard of the vmas, being on here is like being in the 18th century and all you know about and care about is whats going on in your town

The VMAs are more dramatised. But the Brits is more nicer.

It really depends on the nomiantions for awards.

Maybe we have heard of them but we dont give two flying ***** about them?

If you're going to compare the BRITs with anything, it should be the Grammys or something prostegious. Comparing it to some MTV event is a mockery tbh.

I agree with you there to an extent, the Brits in recent years has become boring and predictable.....used to be great to watch :(

I'd compare the VMA's to the likes of NME or Q Awards, everyone knows whos won once the awards are announced....

ILoveTRW 23-01-2010 11:05 PM

im comparing them based on entertainment (as stated in the op) the grammys are boring as ****

Twilight 23-01-2010 11:47 PM

VMAs

Smithy 24-01-2010 12:25 AM

VMA's the performances are great, just look at Gagas sucide thing. Plus more artists i like appear on there compared to the Brits

It was kinda. It was something you just didnt expect. I personally liked the dancing and singing part better. The suicide thing was scary for me. Lol :blush2:

Arneldo 24-01-2010 12:36 PM

I don't think something like that should be used in an entertainment show,it was really offensive.

To be fair.. you see suicide in theatre plays to make a point. Just because she incorporates theatrics + art into a performance that may be controversial/offensive, doesn't mean it shouldn't be used?
She was showing how fame can be too much for celebrities, and I think it was visually strong.

Then again, I love that sorta stuff so eh :/

MeMyselfAndI 24-01-2010 12:56 PM
