She was an Olympic Skier before she married the first time, and when married to Donald Trump was instrumental in expanding his business empire and increasing his fortune. She was certainly no stay at home wifey spending hubby's money, her business acumen and expertise increased Trump's fortune enormously and her contribution was recognised and rewarded in the divorce court. Since the divorce she has built up her own highly successful business empire.
