Sony Vegas

Right you lot, I was on Youtube trying to find A Good Programme to make Movies that is actually well made and wasnt put together by a bunch of Bellends working at Windows.

Someone said about Sony Vegas, Apperantly you can do like nice effects and stuff but its hard to use isnt it?

3 Questions.

1) Where can I download Sony Vegas for Free
2) Is it easy to use?
3) Is there any other Free/Easy Movie Making Programmes you know that I could try to replace WMM?

Final Cut Pro and Imovie are good but I think you can only use them on Macs. I've never used Vegas so I can't comment on it but Imovie in particular is quite simple to use if you have a Mac around while Final Cut Pro has loads of options and stuff.

You can't get Vegas legally for free but I'm guessing all the usual places would probably have a torrent or something for it.

Vegas Pro and Adobe Premiere are 2 of the programs used by Professionals so you can imagine all the things you can do with it.

I'm sure you can get a Demo from the Sony site but all the effects will be locked until you purchase, but even then you can do a bazillion things with it to a Professional level.

Free Version? Not legal
Easy to use? If you just want to edit Video it is as easy as any other program, the complexity tag comes from the fact it caters for Professionals.
Any other Programs?

I'd stear clear of Zwein unless you have a few weeks to get a grip of it. I'd look at Avid from that list.
