Record low for CBB7 - number of complaints that is!
Quote:
Just shows a series doesn't have to be controversial to be (relatively) successful. Most of the complaints were sad sods moaning about the Last Legs Old Peoples Home task, which is just pathetic. |
I' surprised BBBM didn't attract more complaints by having Katie Price in!
That show is dead to me now :joker: |
Nothing was any more or less in this series but the low number of complaints DO tell you something about the viewers.
1. It tells you that people have accepted this is the end of the run for CBB and there is not much motivation to complain when its done now. Its not like your complaint will rectify or show change next season. 2. I suggest that it is just a change in our society now. I actually believe there are just as many 'PC' self-appointed police out there waiting to try and control images and words as they 'know' they should be, but, De-sensitization here. What used to be a 'shocking incorrect incident' is now just lost in the sea of increasingly shocking incorrect incidents on x-many newer programs or in any given season. PC burn-out. I think Big Brother has won the battle of attrition in the long run. You COULD complain about some 'racist/sexist etc' incident and they might seem to take it seriously and 'take steps to prevent further'.... but.... you know they find a way to set-up and instigate just more of some other angle of offense, shock comments, incidents. Even the most hardcore self-appointed PC police must just be so tired of seeing one 'win' beaten down by 2 more losses in the next episode. Look how long and rambling this post was.. **** yeah! I still got it! |
lol, what was there for people to complain about anyway?
