Like original scores made for a film. Not songs.

Soundtracks = songs, tracks, etc.

Scores = sort-of classical music...atmospheric music you'd find in the background of scenes.

I love the American Beauty score.

There was one great one during avatar when they were riding those banshee things, it was mixed with african sounding music, loved it

I'm a huge fan of Horner's earlier work but unfortunately he's gotten more and more lazy, relying on old motifs to get him out of trouble. This was his first big budget film and the score is outstanding in every respect.

Can't have a best score thread without this.
