I didnt say I liked it, thing is art is in the eye of the beholder. If you dont like it dont buy into it. There are good works of art and there are some dross. For example didnt buy into Emin's or a lot off Hirsts stuff. Sometimes its to make an underlying point or statement as opposed to being pleasing to the eye.

By that definition then anything is art and thus art ceases to be something or anything?

Hey, Art is subjective and while I find certain new exhibits distasteful I still enjoy viewing them and exploring the emotional and intellectual reactions they elicit from me. Art at it's best should stimulate you in many different ways depending on the piece in question.

Do I think some are crap? Yes. Do I still think there's value in them? Absolutely. Creativity is an essential component of human nature and we learn so much about ourselves from viewing works from our past and present.

I never said that and trust you to reduce my comments to a rallying call for your own sentiments. You're quite boring at times LT.
