Swansea Love Story- drugs documentry
 

Didn't know whether to post this here or in serious debates :/

Basically it's a 6-part documentry where two film makers followed some drug addicts from Swansea, South Wales for around 6 months last year. I think they chose Swansea because of the 180% increase of heroin users in the city in the space of 4 years. This explains it better- http://www.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/europe...ory/index.html

I think everyone should should take the time and watch this film.. it's horrific and very sad but is a real eye opener and sends out an important message. Swansea is my hometown and I just found it shocking to watch and that it's upsetting that this is probably going on in every city in the UK, not just here.

It is tough to watch, but it's reality for a lot of people in the UK.. makes you realise what's going on around you! Like I knew drugs were a problem but I didn't know it was that bad.

I watched this last night and had a pillow over my eyes at some parts! What was touching was the guy with the Swansea flag and singing that football song, later on when they go back to him trynig to stay clean he looks so much healthier! His wee house is lovely and you just hope he can stay clean. Amy and Cornelious I just brkoe my heart at! God I stress and worry about what outfit I will wear, or that I am skint and want to go out this weekend but these are nothing in comparison. Makes you ashamed of your worries and moans. Amy never had a chance. Homeless at 12? She cannot be blamed for the path she has chosen it's all she has known. Same with Cornelious. Mum and dad both addicts, then sister and it spirals.
