i think mothers day is a waste of money? anyone agree ?

the reason i think this is because its all to commercial now a days and all about spending. thats why i opted for a free present lol

if my mother is sick of my poems and kicks me out < and ladys want some love poetry lol

love to hear what you lot got your mums ?

no ordinary mum

this is your day mum,
and love and kindness i am filling,
this poem is to replace a card,
but not more importantly for me to to save a shilling.
so what can i say,
to make you feel grand,
there's no other mother like you,
you are by far the best on this land.
without going into detail,
we all no you navigate this ship,
mum you have led us through storms,
your direction you never let slip.
have a lovely day,
i am sorry mum there's not even flowers,
but do you understand that if i bought the height,
they would have to go through the clouds and showers.
so the message is simple,
this is mothering sunday and love i have wrote,
mum, every day is your day,
as my whole life to you i devote.

Made gifts are so much sweeter than something from Tesco or garage at last minute, but I'll probably fall into doing the latter. When kids make something for their mum it is probably a good idea - 44 year old giving to mum, the day has lost it's point

I don't spend loads, I tend to go for cheaper but more personal things. I only really buy a card and flowers, other than that I'm pretty much my mum's slave for the day :p

No, i think its nice to give back to your mum (and dad on fathers day).

By having a specific day to do this is great. Although it really should be everyday.. so i am told

It's not about the money,it's about the thought. I usually just get my mum some chocolate and make her a card. She still has her Jason Orange card up from last year
