and like...there are times of the year when you can notice the climate is changing, like shifts of season - is this just me? like there are some days when it's really downcast and it could be thundery at any moment, and it smells really...exciting?

I get that,when it just smells like summer.

I love how smells trigger memories.

Petrol, fresh cut grass, mint shower gel, chocolate ice cream, Millie's Cookies, chlorine, fresh laundry, freshly baked bread, a car after it's had a full clean.

oh I love the smell of cigarette smoke too...especially car seats and when it's hot.

Weed is kind of distinctive, it is pungent in a kind of ok way :laugh:

Oh I love the smell of strawberries too. Not just a few strawberries, the smell of thousands and thousands all together when I am selling them.

I have my granny's old art bag with all her crayons, pencils and sketchpad. She started attending classes later on in her life and whenever I'm feeling particulary nostalgic I unzip the bag and the moment I smell inside I'm transported back to my grandparents house. It's gone now so it's all I have left of the security and love I felt while they were around.

Same - the car smoke thing reminds me of my dad.

Also love most Christmas smells for that reason: tangerines, chestnuts, roast dinners, and weirdly lemonade (because my mum would always let us make shandy for the littluns :p)
