She actually said on 8 out of 10 cats that she hasn't made a million,but I beg to differ.

And btw cc100 Helen's Salon sounds gurate to me.

if she had been more sensible with her cash, then she would have over a million, i guess.

to be fair, she has had 2 kids, she does have to buy them stuff :dance:

BIG Brother star Jade Goody's geography might still be dodgy, having held her Hertford beauty salon launch party at a London club, but she has vowed to stay in the county town.

The Harlow resident, who famously thought Cambridge was in London and that East Anglia was "abroad", is hoping to open the Market Street salon next week â€” if she can find it.

Providing she does, the silicone-enhanced celebrity is keen to make a go of the venture.

On Tuesday night, she entertained family, friends and a team of East Herts builders at a bash in the Embassy Club in Piccadilly.

The 24-year-old stopped traffic when she made her entrance on the back of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, sporting a 1950s-style hairdresser's outfit.

Her every move is being filmed for forthcoming reality show Jade's Salon, which will be screened from September 12 on satellite and cable channel Living TV.

After dismounting from her Harley, she told the Mercury: "I'm really looking forward to working in Hertford. I love Hertford.

"I've always wanted my own business. It's a dream come true for me and I'm going to make a real go of it. I'm here to stay, if enough people use the salon, that is."

A spokeswoman added: "This is not a fly-by-night venture for Jade. She's really serious about making a success of it.

"She loves Hertford and the people have given her a warm welcome."

There to greet her at the party were 'Team Jade' â€” the East Herts builders who have been transforming the former Bristol & West bank into a beauty treatment centre.

Jason Godwin, of Nuthampstead, near Royston, who owns trendy building firm Ten Thousand Rooms, brought along his painters and plumbers to rub shoulders with the stars.

They included Kamal, from the latest series of Big Brother, MTV presenter Richard Blackwood and Dean Gaffney, who played Robbie in EastEnders.

Jason said: "It's just nice to be here and we all deserve a good night out as we've been working hard to get the shop ready.

"It's been great fun working with Jade. The work's almost completed and I think they're planning on opening next week."

Builder John Higgins, from Buntingford, who arrived with his pals in a stretch limo paid for by Jade, said: "It's just nice to be invited to the party. We're having a great time."

The star will hold a launch party in Hertford next week.

A FORMER Big Brother star's dream has become a reality in Hertford.

Beauty salon Ugly's, which Jade Goody set up on Market Street with pal Carly Warpole, opened on Monday.

Jade told the Hertford Times: "We finished at quarter to three last night and it cost Â£100,000.

"We have gone massively over budget, but it's fine because we have achieved what we wanted."

The 24-year-old added: "We haven't got any bookings yet, but we are hoping to get some people through the door today and exchange money."

They were filmed during the eight weeks of preparation by satellite channel Living TV.

"The programme is about me looking for the property and it was brilliant to do with all the TV crew mucking in to help.

"I have wanted a beauty salon since I was a little girl and it is the same for Carly, so this has made our dream come true."

Jade and Carly hope to open in London and New York in the future, but for now are quite happy with Ugly's, which includes 100-year-old chandeliers, tables and chairs.

There are two treatment rooms, a tanning suite and nail bars.

Jade said: "We called it Ugly's because I got called a pig for ages by men and Ugly's seemed a great name to laugh at, but it is the opposite to what the salon offers.

"I am massively pleased with the look of the place as it's not like any other."

Jade said she would be sticking to treatments that "can't go wrong" like manicures and pedicures.

The seven staff and two managers were whittled down from 50 hopefuls.

Kev Mann, trainee beauty therapist, said: "It has all been a bit daunting and I couldn't sleep last night, but it's not too bad today and the staff are all very excited about the opening."

The Jade's Salon documentary starts next Monday at 9pm.

Much as others may love Jade - this is definitely a series I shall make a point of missing. Notice Jade has a partner - so is this trading on her name or will Jade actually be nothing more than a glorified sleeping partner.

I like Jade- i watched about 10 minutes of the programme but my mam wanted to watch something else! Bobby and Freddy are really cute! x

I watched some of it last nite and i really liked it. I think just cos jade was on it and she cracks ma up.

We must be very cautious when taking what is said in magazines and newpapers seriously.

Jade has done gr8 since leaving the show and if somebody ever said to be Big Brother there would be 2 ppl that would ALWAYS come to mind Jade Goody and Makosi Mumbassi lol.

shes a bit thick but likes a good laugh and i like that in a person
