Ideal age to be a parent?
 

What is yours?

I want to be 20 - 24.
I dont want to be older than 25. I hate it when people have babies at like 40 (sorry if you have or anything), I just think its too old too have children.

Definitely not before my 30s.

Relative to the person I guess, but I think it makes sense to enjoy as much of your life as you can without children. Not that I have anything against children, just keep them away from me.

I don't want to have kids, ever.

But I really dislike seeing girls younger than me pushing a buggy, with their friend who is also pushing one, not that it makes them a bad parent, I just think they're too immature.

So I reckon mid twenties to mid thirties.

I hate it too. And why dont you want kids? Do you not like them? You dont have to say if you dont want x

I don't mind them, I can see why people think they're cute, but to have one forever, to look after everyday, no thanks, doesn't appeal.

And don't get me started on being pregnant, even if it didn't seem like the most painful experience ever, I still wouldn't want a baby growing inside me.

Lol. awww, I know what you mean though. It is actually really wierd thinking about it all. sometimes it makes me cringe, but sometimes it makes me feel happy. lol its hard to explain.

I think, you'll hit an age and settle down and become all broody and want one. Thats what usually happens to women who say they don't want one.

i dont think there is a ideal age it depends on the person i had my daughter at 21 it wasnt how i had mapped out my life but i adjusted to it pretty quickly if i could do it all over again i would like to have got to around the age i am now (26)

25-30.

I suppose I'm at an advantage being a man and can hold it off for a fair bit longer than women, but in saying that I still don't think that there's a right age for anyone, especially since the average lifespan is lengthening all the time. I'd say I'll be around 35 or so when I have a child. Can't see myself having one before that.

Don't think you can put an age on it - it is just when the time is right for you!

the ideal age is the age when you are in love, married and have had say a couple of years married together to get sorted.

get the basics right and give yourself a chance.

I had my daughter when I was 21, I think I was too young, I had my son at 24 which was better of course I had already been a mother 4 years by then so I reckon maybe
25-30 is ideal, though of course every person is different
