Big Brother contestant Makosi Musambasi could be deported from the UK as immigration officials assess whether she has broken the terms of her visa.

Police and the immigration service questioned the Zimbabwean, 24, after she was initially stopped in a car for not wearing a seatbelt.

Ms Musambasi had permission to work in the UK as a cardiac nurse but left her job to enter the Big Brother house.

She came third in the reality show behind Anthony Hutton and Eugene Sully.

Operation

It is reported that Ms Musambasi reapplied for her visa after leaving the Big Brother house earlier this month.

Ms Musambasi, of High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, was quizzed at Staines police station in Middlesex after she was pulled over on the M25 in Surrey while travelling as a passenger in her sister's car.

A spokesman for Surrey Police said: "Police stopped a car on the M25 near Stoke D'Abernon at 5pm yesterday on a driving matter.

"A 24-year-old Zimbabwean was then questioned by the immigration services which is now dealing with the matter."

Her sister, Veronica, said Ms Musambasi entered the show in the hope of flying their mother to South Africa for a life-saving operation on a tumour behind her eye.

omg!!

CharlotteSometimes 30-08-2005 05:38 PM

LOL! That's the last time I run naked from the bathroom to post! :bouncy: Radio One said that she was arrested last night and questioned for five hours. I got the impression, from the way that it was worded, that her deportation was imminent.

jrc 30-08-2005 05:39 PM

Yay! Sorry this is completely OT but where did you get your sig Babydoll?

CharlotteSometimes 30-08-2005 05:42 PM

I see the recent confusion returning this evening, jrc ...

As for the sig, It looks like a Kaz number.

jrc 30-08-2005 05:43 PM

How do you get her to do those?

CharlotteSometimes 30-08-2005 05:44 PM

Erm, ask her nicely? LOL! :bouncy:

Fangz 30-08-2005 09:10 PM

Wow, a sob story. Is this an attempt to guilt-trip people for condemning the way she behaved in the show? If so, I'm afraid it's not working.
I wonder how her country of birth will receive her? I gather she's had some bad press over there. Oh well.

jrc 30-08-2005 09:17 PM

Yes, I totally agree. What a great shame that she's leaving!

Fangz 30-08-2005 09:23 PM

Out of sight, out of mind. With any luck, she'll be another country's problem, and we can all forget about her.

jrc 30-08-2005 09:26 PM

Hopefully!

lilmissnaughty 30-08-2005 09:27 PM

I'm sure she'll be missed...:bored:

Fangz 30-08-2005 09:29 PM

Not necessarily, my aim IS improving...

jrc 30-08-2005 09:32 PM

lol

Nope, no guilt-trip. She was arrested and held for five hours.

Fangz 30-08-2005 10:33 PM

I don't doubt the arrest, I was talking about Makki's sister going on about their mother's illness. I don't doubt its truth, but it's obviously tacked onto the article in a bid for sympathy.

CharlotteSometimes 30-08-2005 10:37 PM

Ah, right. I only scanned the article, as I posted originally based on the report that I'd just heard on Radio One.

Fangz 30-08-2005 10:46 PM

I just think that having an ill family-member is no excuse to act so badly.

CharlotteSometimes 30-08-2005 11:16 PM

I think it would be rather sick to make something like that up, so I don't doubt that it's true. I don't know if the family would have to pay for the operation, though. I'm guessing not, as otherwise why can't it be done on the NHS? As for the flight itself, Makosi's healthy salary alone would've easily covered that.

Nero 31-08-2005 06:40 AM

On the BB what they did next..she said shed already earned more than Anthony and Eugene put together didnt she..so there you go..her mum should have already that operation if she cares that much and if its true..although I havent seen any newspaper stories with "Big Brothers Makosi pays for mums vital Op"..so who knows eh..

RandomGirl 31-08-2005 06:42 AM

10 days to appeal...I can see her getting to stay because of her status as a celeb......however NOT wearing a seatbelt...foolish stupid woman!....:nono:

I agree. If she really has made all the money she claims to have made, the op will have been organised and probably done and dusted by now. No, she's just put that in the article to rake in some sympathy. Silly cow.

Yeah but do you know how much the operation is? It could be more then shes already made! JRC you really are an arragan prick aint you. In todays paper it says she has 10 days to appeal or she has the leave. But can you really trust the press?

Fangz 31-08-2005 11:29 AM

Alright, calm down Gaz, you'll get yourself in trouble. I'm sure that Makosi has made a lot of money to contribute to the operation, though. I'd be surprised if the full amount isn't raised soon, assuming it hasn't been raised already.

ThaGazBoi 31-08-2005 12:07 PM

shes doing an interview with FHM next month  according to the express
