Big Brother Finland
 

The Finland version of Big Brother started recently. I mentioned it here because I know TiBB has some members from Finland.

Yes indeed, our first ever own Big Brother!

It reminds me of UK BB3, all the contestants are 20 to 30 years old. Most of them are single, and after three days, relationships have already begun to blossom.

It was so funny to watch the launch. When they entered the house, they all took their shoes off, as we do in Finland!

The narrator is a woman and she sounds very monotonous and bored.

I wish I had a dvd-recorder, you would laugh a lot watching it.

They spend 90 days in the house and the winner gets 50,000 euros (ca. 33,000 pounds).

PS. They claim that Finland is the only country in the world where a foreign (=UK) BB has been shown on tv, I wonder if it's true?

They have a real shop in the garden, where they get their groceries from! It was really funny, two people went shopping while the others watched through the shop door.

They have a sauna instead of a swimming pool. It is hot two hours every Friday and Saturday.

Two people (Perttu and Jani) face eviction even though Jani and Kathy got the same amount of votes. Very odd. Perttu got the most votes, so there should be three people up for eviction.

When BB4 UK was finished, E4 in the UK showed USA BB.

I'm trying to find a download of BB Finland so I can watch an episode or two - no luck yet. Just found a few adverts for it.

My colleague has a dvd-recorder and he's going to record tonight's and tomorrow's episodes for me. I'll then try to upload them. I'll let you know if I succeed.

Evil BB Finland
 

Yesterday BB told the housemates that two people would be evicted. Then he showed them on the plasma screen who had nominated who and why. Can it get more evil?!

The two people with most nominations left the house. Then BB told these two evictees that one of them was going back to the house. Then BB told the housemates that soon there would be 11 housemates instead of 12. Then the evicted housemate walked in. Weird.

Apparently they are allowed to discuss nominations (since they were shown who nominated who) and now it's all they do.

The "Finnish Davina" told one housemate that "the people outside love your new hairstyle". No news from the outside world indeed.
