To like whatever music and artists they like, without being told that it is rubbish, and being told they have a "bad" music taste?

People like different things and there are a few members on here that are just so annoying when it comes to stuff like this.

Who are you to judge what defines a "good" music taste? Argh.

It happens to a lot of people tbh, not just you.

Its silly to judge people, i don't call MM&I and Stacey for their music taste,i just think they need to get more educated when it comes to music.

Thats just as bad twi, it may as well be judging their tastes

Not really nothing wrong with liking different things, i just hate it when people think music is just to do with the charts, or sale figures.

I find music taste a good basis for judgment of a person. For example, I consider MeMyselfandI's ignorance of music to be an ignorance in general. I really doubt that she's a go-to authority when it comes to discussing the art of Van Gogh or the cinema of Kurosawa, or perhaps the history of the Labour Party.

There are no good or bad music tastes, but there are uninformed music tastes. And when the majority, no, the entirety, of what you listen to had been shortlisted and decided rather handily by The X Factor and BBC Radio 1, that's sad.

I agree Steph, its ok not to like the same artists but you shouldnt mock people about it.

Well certain artists have no music credentials whatsoever and deserve to be stomped. And their fans deserve to be stomped for feeding the monster and encouraging their continuation.

I agree with that! And I would actually never tell people they have bad taste. I would only say, I dont like this kind of music, I like this instead. BUt everyone is entitled to enjoy what they please, and what their ears like to hear! LOL!

I felt the same when I was like 12, 13, 14 around that age. Older people in their twenties, use to hate on my musical taste. :)

You just have to laugh it off. It is what it is! New popular stuff, are always gonna be hated on by the older generation! :)

Don't be stupid. It's nothing to do with 'older generation' plenty of teens on here hate new, popular stuff.

I never judge people on their music tastes, yes I like different stuff to some people (RnB/Hip Hop) doesnt mean I call the other genres rubbish.

I actually like a bit of everything, some rock songs i like, some soul songs i like etc....
Everyone has different tastes. But i understand that hearing mainstream music so much can get sickening.
