should they bring brookside back? it were sick back in the day, they had some proper badboys unlike soaps these days there all soft apart from phil mitchell, especially billies crew whoever writes eastenders ant got a clue about man dem from the hood

They had some good characters. It was a soap that went from bad to worse though. They had well established characters and then they changed a lot of them. The end was quite dark and depresssing. I think it turned a lot of people off.

Yes, I know it died for a reason. The storylines were invariably ridiculous. But Hollyoaks is still worse.

Brookside Close is dead now and has been destroyed and I can't see it ever returning but I loved the show, shame it got axed:(.

Hollyoaks is a lot worse

Yes Hollyoaks has always been a show where people come and go but they have had some great storylines and characters, in it's present state it's as dire as it has ever been.. things need to drastically improve which I hope they will but despite what people think it's done well to last 15 years;).

I've never watched it. Seen enough on ads and interviews and stuff. It looks absurd. I know soaps are but that takes the biscuit :D

they really do need to sort it out otherwise i can't see it being broadcast by this time next year

I did watch Brookie for a few years but gave up on it just before it's demise

I used to watch the omnibus. No idea what days in the week it was on :D

Back in the day when it first started was Hollyoaks best period. The show messed itself up with hiring actors based on looks and not acting ability although the calendars are fun:p.

Rob i've got a lot of faith in the new producer and C4 insist they are sticking by it but they have done opposite before to other programmes:rolleyes:, more to TV shows than bloody ratings:(.

I think it was Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights before the rot started:bawling:.

Ta. Was just trying to think what day it was. I think it clashed in the week with too much (or I was never in to watch it which is more likely!!)
