Iceman 09-04-2010 09:43 PM

South Wales? :p

Do you do seasonal forecasting? If so, any chance of one for the summer? I'd like to compare it to the Positive Weather Solutions one. Oh, and specifically the Isle of Wight if you could. Cheers.

Nice idea for a thread by the way.

I don't officially do seasonal forecasting but i do make them and see if i'm correct, i might start offically doing them soon.

Early indications however for Summer however are for about average conditions, maybe a heat wave late July/August but not a scorching summer like some are suggesting but not a washout either.

Cloudy but mild on Saturday, Sunny intervals developing during Sunday. Frist half of the working week starts well with some longer spells of sunshine on Monday but cloud and drizzle pushing in later on Tuesday into Wednesday.

Cloudy and very mild tomorrow with the occasional glimpse of sunshine, becoming brighter on Sunday but feeling slightly cooler than Saturday with the risk some spotty light rain in the afternoon. Looking ahead to the new week, mostly dull with occasional light rain and drizzle and feeling much cooler than of late

Ninastar 09-04-2010 10:06 PM

Harrogate? :P

Sunny and very mild tomorrow, locally warm in Kent, however cloud will increase throughout the course of the day, Sunday will feel cooler and it will be dull and cloud, next week sees light rain and thicker cloud pulling in off the North sea

See the forecast for WOMBAI, should be similar

Shaun 09-04-2010 10:08 PM

they should really do weather forecasts on something everyone can see rather than on a Big Brother forum. like, after the news or something.

oh wait.

It's been lovely today. Apparently tomorrow might be our hottest day this year at 16 degrees :D Cloudy though I think but at least it saves wearing 16 layers (OK maybe 2 or 3)

that'd be because there's participation involved from other forum users and isn't something already covered by a huge government-fed body? :laugh2:

actually, what gameshows? Room 101? The one that's had loads of responses and people taking part? Or Top10s? The one on about 60 pages? I mean, from every angle, that insult fails. Bit like your site, really.

I know I don't speak for everyone here but what's the actual point? I hate talking about the weather for starters - it's something people do as phatic talk - that is to say, small-talk - if at all. It's devoid of passion, opinion, creativity... and this thread; what is there to talk about? How shallow and self-obsessed do you have to be to think that talking about the weather in such a small and isolated place as the one that you, and most likely only you on this forum, can experience?

Talking about the past weather is utterly pointless because noone else on this site experienced it, and talking about the future weather entirely pointless because it's unpredictable at most.

Fair enough, talk about your beliefs, your tastes, but your ****ing weather? My God.

MrGaryy 10-04-2010 03:43 AM

no1curr.

Kerry 10-04-2010 05:31 AM

We Brits love to talk about the weather. It's no big deal :)

Even better when you can point and go "Har haaaaaaaaaaaar" when some get the sun while the rest get pissed on mwahahahaaaaaaaaaa.......
