Has anyone else used this??
Its amazing!

What is it?

Its a programme that you can download and it shows you a satellite images of the earth. You can zoom in to most places... for example I've found the Hollywood Sign and Area 51!!

Heh heh, when I first saw the thread title, I was like 'Earth? Why would I google that? How would that be fun?'

It is really good. Mac users can't use it though, apparently.

I cant stop searching for things...... it's so detailed in some places you can see the cars on the road :shocked:

Aww, wish I could get it. I don't have Mac, but my computer doesn't like downloading things.

You have to have a pretty fast PC to be able to cope with vast amount of data!

Ah, that explains it. My PC finds it hard to cope with a lot of things.

It's great fun..... but not all places are high resolution

Can you get google earth if u have dial up internet and dont have broadband? :conf:

I'm not quite sure that it will work on dial up?!?!

o well were getting broadband soon anyway so ill just wait till then
I suppose its a good thing cause it gives it time to sort out its "teething problems" :thumbs:

It's fab... I can zoom in and see my house. You can also see people on the street in some parts of the world where the res is highest!

some places are realy good others are all blurry

It's not live.... different parts of the globe do get updated but not all at the same time!

no its not live, there are only a few places that you can zoom in on and get a good quality picture and they seem to be mostly in America! i woudnt recomend trying to download if your on dialup as it is a 300mb file lol :laugh:
