Tragic: The car park in Weymouth, Dorset,
where Robyn plunged to her death

"I said to my friend, "What's that girl doing up there?"
and before we knew it she had come off over the edge.
I didn't see her fall but it couldn't
have been an accident - she was lying away
from the edge when I saw her and
would have had to climb over a barrier about 3ft high."

This is Sad
such a young girl
no need to kill herself
who was talking (or shouting) to her on her Mobile
just before she jumped?

hope someone bullies the bullies

Poor girl :( Another life wasted because of the evil bullies! This need to stop!! Bring back discipline, bring back the cane. Shoot the bastards.

InOne 13-04-2010 05:30 PM

Well, this story is pretty vague really. There must have been some underlining issues.

Bullies make me sick, look how many teenagers these days think about killing themselfs, or do it because of bullies :(

GypsyGoth 13-04-2010 05:33 PM

Tom4784 13-04-2010 05:37 PM

It's a tragic set of events, if only someone could have reached her in time.

So sad

Awful, awful news. Bullies really do make me sick.

This should be in the news section and not Serious Debates as there is no motion for debate here.

The story is very vague. I wonder who she was talking to on the phone. Maybe she broke up with her boyfriend or something.

Tragic that she felt like this was her only option though. :(

Stacey. 13-04-2010 06:56 PM

aww :( its terrible.
its a shame people have to make others get to that point.

Having read the linked and other online articles about this tragic case, there appears to be very little real evidence to assume she was bullied, perhaps she threw herself off the roof because of heartbreak, or maybe she suffered from vertigo.

“This angers me! She did not jump because she was bullied! Robyn was in my tutor group at school, she was always happy, always smiling. But she did not get bullied! This has angered and upset me and my school friends! I seriously do not know where you got the ‘bullying reason’ from, but it is not true. i Suggest if you’re going to publish this kind of stuff, you at least get your facts right! We’ve lost an amazing girl, and i imagine her family are going through hell right now, you don’t need to post this on the papers, especially with the wrong reasons! - Vickii M, Portland, 13/4/2010 12:33

I go to the same school as Robyn. Whenever I saw her around school, she was always happy. The school can cope with bullying. My dad used to teach at the same school as well. These are just rumours on facebook. I doubt she would have been bullied. RIP

This annoys me too. Ive known her since i was in reception, and she has NEVER been bullied. Me & her are / were close. And bullying is a stupid thing to suggest has happened to her. She was the happiest girl you'd ever meet, and she wouldn't LET anyone bully her. We all love you RObyn.

Aww thats horrible what happened :(

But the whole thing about her being bullied was most likely rubbish as those people have said, as they said she was always happy, these stupid false stories of people being bullied, is not always true.

30stone 13-04-2010 11:18 PM

Such a sad thing for her to do..
Her family and friends must be so hearkbroken..

They are the ones that will suffer most.
