But could someone explain to me what a "troll" is?
In terms of forums I mean (not the monster lol)
I've seen it mentioned loads of times in threads but I have no idea what it means!

Trolls are people on forums who annoy people to get a reaction out of them.

A troll is somebody whose main drive is to inflame, harass or be disruptive. But its become a generic word used to describe anybody that constantly annoys you on forums.

To be honest - I think everyone does that from time to time, when someone annoys them - so we could probably all be accused of being trolls at some time or another!
