Anyone who has a sub 10 miles commute should be on a bike

it should be law if you are under 40

Ninastar 03-05-2010 02:20 PM

I would if my parents didn't make me wear a helmet.

Shasown 03-05-2010 02:27 PM

In answer to the OP Lance Armstrong and Sir Chris Hoy

I live on south coast and cycle everywhere local. By the sea in the summer, can't beat it.

Makes your arse sore though.

Helmets can save your life. When my brother was younger he had a cycling accident and the doctor said if he hadn't been wearing a helmet he could have had brain damage or worse.

I have a bike in my garage and have not driven it for years!

Very true, last year I cycled the Speyside Way for charity. I had an arse like a blood orange when I finished.

I know, and i would wear one if i did go on my bike. its just the helmet is the main reason i dont ever go on mine.

Lewis. 03-05-2010 02:45 PM

Bike was nicked - Never got it back or found out who did it.

You can get Padding over the Seat
Stops and Pain.

Beastie 03-05-2010 03:13 PM

Aww bike rides!! I do like bike rides.. but think the last one I went on was a few months ago. I should motivate myself to go on a bike ride seeing as though the nice sunny air is looming.. sometimes..

It doesn't really matter though because I never go on it. I never said I go out on my bike and don't wear a helmet did I?

Fake rep? what do you mean?

and It makes me shallow because I don't want to be laughed at?

believe it or not but the smaller the saddle the better

after about 4-5 good rides your bum gets used to it, much like when you decide to become a gay-o-sexual

the advantage is that you will not contract piles or get weeping internal fissures from a racing saddle
