Dickinson's Real Deal presenter David Dickinson has been lined up as ITV’s next chatshow host. Director of factual and daytime Alison Sharman ordered a a 60-minute studio-based pilot of 'The David Dickinson Show' which was filmed in December 2009 with guests including the fabulous impressionist Jon Culshaw and veteran broadcaster Tony Blackburn.

We can now announce the very latest news that David Dickinson will be hosting his very own chat show on ITV1. A short series of 10 x 60 minute shows on ITV1 commencing Monday 17 May at 3.00 pm. The weekday chat show is named The David Dickinson Show and will be made up of a fabulous mix of features including celebrity interviews, antique valuations, topical debate and even cookery! Plus a daily competition called 'Seal the Deal' .

An ITV spokesperson said: "The David Dickinson Show will give the Duke a real opportunity to do what he does best - interact with the people - whether trying to win an audience member a 'nice bit of cash' in the show's daily quiz 'Seal The Deal' or chatting to the owners of interesting and quirky antique selections.

"Throughout the series viewers can also expect topical views as David and his team of pundits and celebrity commentators give us their take on the day's news and views."

Celebrities already lined up to take part in the chatshow include Russell Watson,
Toni Braxton, Brendon Cole, Denise Welch, Gary Kemp and Cherie Murphy.
Sheree Murphy and Joe Pasquale will join David Dickinson for the first episode of this brand new chatshow.
From his website. I know. He has a website.

I was almost in the audience :\
The company that provides tickets to TV shows were desperate for audience members & offered priority tickets to be in the audience of the XF auditions if you turned up to see the David Dickinson show!

We went but were refused due to high demand.
Still got the priority XF tickets though :D

3pm to 6pm seems to be 'which channel can show the cheesiest programme' time

BB_Eye 18-05-2010 01:51 PM

I hate his face. He is just the right kind of parasite that constitutes your typical daytime TV personality.
