Big Brother hunk Dale Howard is ready to set female hearts racing again when he strips down to his shorts and T-shirt at a local gym.

For ex-student PE teacher Dale, who had a steamy on-screen romance with fellow housemate Jen in Big Brother 9, has landed a job as a personal trainer at the Total Fitness club in Wilmslow.

It’s a long way from his days of notoriety on television, which resulted in Dale clinching lots of promotional work, and even auditioning for TV presenting and appearing on his own calendar. But the St Helens-born keep-fit fanatic says he couldn’t be happier.

“After Big Brother I moved down to London and it was fun for a while, but to be honest I just got sick of that whole scene, not knowing who my real friends were.

“I couldn’t wait to get back, and working as a personal trainer is the perfect job for me because I love sport and exercise,” said Dale, 23, who had trials for various football clubs in his youth.

Now back with his girlfriend Aimee, whom he split from before going into Big Brother, Dale aims to specialise in muscle building and weight management.

“But I can do anything really,” said Dale, who started at Total Fitness on Wednesday (May 12), “from aerobics and cardio work through to spinning classes.

“I want to build up a really good client base as quickly as possible, but to do that I’ll be working six days a week, often until 9pm.”

He will now struggle to fit in his other passions – DJing and running his own on-line record label, Static Audio.

“My music’s mostly deep house, and the label’s been going about four months now, but I’m going to keep it going.

“I know it’ll be tiring, but I’m not one to sit around on my bum all day doing nothing.”
