1,047 girls under 15 had abortions last year

1,047 girls 14 or younger had an abortion in 2009.

Ever heard of contraception?:nono:

Crimson Dynamo 26-05-2010 12:30 PM

they should not be having sex full stop and should not be told contraception is an option

I would suggest that the (lower icome, lower class, un-educated, malnourished) parents and mainly to blame here and alcohol.

no

it leads to more by making them think it is raght and proper to have sex underage.

show me the evidence for what you say?

I agree with this too.. if they are going to do it.. use contraception!! they need to be on the pill as well to be honest.. so much excuses such as "the condom split" or maybe the bloke should just pull out before he "comes".

Raph 26-05-2010 02:12 PM

their own faults!

Novo 26-05-2010 02:16 PM

It's just a number..

Would have thought it would have been higher to be honest

InOne 26-05-2010 02:19 PM

Yeah, when you think about the number, it's not exactly alarming or anything.

History! There were thousands of women in the past who had their children taken away - because they were unmarried! The suffering caused to those women and their children was beyond your understanding, it seems! Despite the times, and the consequences - people still had sex - that will never change, and you are living with your head in the clouds if you think otherwise! Not to mention the women that died because of botched illegal abortions!

The arrogance of your remark is amazing - that you think you have the right to force your opinions down the throats of others - by censoring contraceptive advice - because you think it increases underage sex!

I don't like children having sex, but I dislike children having children even more! Withholding contraceptive advice will only make things worse!

Sunny_01 26-05-2010 02:25 PM

So the reality is that legally no one under the age of 16 should be having sex but we all know it happens and it is our responsibility as parents to make sure our teenagers are fully informed so that they make wise choices if they just cant keep their pants on.

I am not all for the girl being responsible but I do agree each person needs to be held responsible, they should both be using some form of contraception to protect themselves not only from unwanted pregnancy but from awful sexually transmitted nasties.

I would suggest that once again you are talking crap. the lower classed un-educated girls know a babeeeee can be a nice little earner what with family credit etc family allowance, so they normally keep getting pregnant, try the educated posh little jailbait that likes to party on a saturday then confess their sins on a sunday but couldnt possibly have the social stigma of being an underage mum.

Beastie 26-05-2010 06:45 PM

A sad sad world. There is a mother I read about in a magazine today! Well not read the full article.. but she wanted a 4th baby so went out to have sex with a man who is blue eyed and blonde haired because she wanted the baby to look like the other children. She apparently conceived at a back of a reno car.. she gets 20 grand in benefits a year. STUPID BITCH. Setting out to have a 4th kid and you have no job and sponging off all our taxes!!!!!! grrrrrrr.

Harry! 26-05-2010 06:54 PM

I can see both sides of the argument but if you really have sexual feelings at a teen then use contraception, That goes for the females too (No abortion or morning after pill)
