Luanch Night Twist Press Realese

In a press release further information has been revealed about the opening episode of the series, which backs up a report in the Daily Star claiming that 100 contestants will compete on the launch night for the right to become an official housemate.

"In a twist to the usual format there will be more hopefuls than the house can hold," reads the press release.

"In front of the cameras and the baying crowd each of the hopefuls will find out their fate. Will Big Brother select them to spend a summer in front of the cameras or will they have to head home with their bag still packed?"

It concludes: "The new Housemates will be selected one by one and allowed into the Big Brother house to begin what could be the most exciting and unpredictable few weeks of their lives. Watch those first awkward moments unfold as they get to know each other and await the start of Big Brother's games."

Lol

Pointless.
If BB is going to select them, they why don't they just do that BEFORE the show starts?!
If the public vote, then I think that we're gonna choose the wrong people.
It leaves too much to go wrong.

It's to add to the launch night drama. Maybe we'll get to see a bit of VT about each of the hopefuls, giving us a chance to like/dislike/hate them instantly, then the producers will tell the ones that have been selected already that they are going in tot he house.

Yeah i agree with this and even if they have already selected who will go in then this is just pointless and ruins the excitment of seeing the hms for the first time in their vts

The worst launch night idea ever. What eejit thought that up?

ILoveTRW 26-05-2010 03:49 PM

what a load of old ****, it reminds me of bb australias ideas

DigitalSid 26-05-2010 03:53 PM

I've known about this for a for a few weeks, I thought it was pointless then and I think it's pointless now.

I agree. They normally pick an array of HM's that may tend to clash etc. They cannot run the risk of letting the wrong mix into the house, so I think they will have already picked the actual HM's by launch night, and the whole routine of selecting them will just be for effect.

I am not going to like launch night if they do this. Just goes to show they still cant be arsed to think up a good launch twist. This is basically what they did last year but on a bigger scale and we all know how much the non housemate thing failed last year. But who knows I could be wrong lol :)

I think you could be right there Mrluvaluva:sleep:

Thats not the truth i dont think, I heard there will be the confirmed 20-30 in the crowd and they dont know whats happening, these 20-30 have gone and done the process and the producers know them, but then 16 of them will actually be picked at random to be in the house, the remaining will be on standby.

I was expecting a bigger twist, this is just like an extension to BB10's opening twist.
