OK no big secret. We all know this happens. Personally I see no problem with it; they're selling a product at the end of the day and their image is all part of it. But it's always fun to see the reality. Britney and Madonna for example;

To be fair, she actually looks better in her first ones. Bet she's not so quick to release the ones where she looks tired and rough beforehand. Of which I'm sure there are plenty. And she's still young too.

Madonna actually looks good for her age. It's just the close up comparison that makes her look bad.

And, again, Britney is still young and still has hair, make up and lighting helping her out. She shouldn't need much photoshopping anyway.
