Scones - the Cornwall vs. Devon debate.

Which do you prefer (if any)?

Cornwall:

Devon:

The difference? In Cornwall you put the jam on first...Devon it's the cream.

Devon just makes sense.

Cornwall.

Can't you just turn it upside down?

Shaun 28-05-2010 12:16 AM

then you'd have a creamy-jammy mess on the surface, jonathan...the top of the scone is presumed to have nothing on it :p

I'm joking btw, I don't like scones, so neither.

But I voted Cornwall

Probably Cornwall. *Feels like eating a scone now*

MusicMan 28-05-2010 03:50 PM

I don't normally have cream in my scones...
Just jam :D
And butter!
But I would go for... Cornwall of course! Jam must go on a stable surface, not on cream

Can just about take scones. that's the only bready type thing though. and Cornwall.

Shaun 28-05-2010 03:52 PM

you're all awful.

MrGaryy 28-05-2010 04:36 PM

...Devon CLEARLY. Cornwall just sounds messy :/

Shaun 28-05-2010 04:39 PM

THANK YOU.

that's because it is. As a westcountryman I can assure you the cream is more likely to run and spill than the jam.
