Eminem and P!nk collaborate on new song!

omg...this is gonna be SICK. P!nk has been confirmed as a featuring artist on one of the new tracks on Em's new album. Two of the most successful and emtoionally raw artists of the last ten years, it's gonna be epic. The song's called 'Never Back Down' btw.

He also has a song with Rihanna on the album which quite frankly, is a bit T.I; Jay Z but w.e should be hot too!

Shaun 28-05-2010 12:37 AM

this could be epic.

Stephanie 28-05-2010 12:37 AM

Ramsay 28-05-2010 12:39 AM

Zippy 28-05-2010 01:52 AM

Can't believe anybody still gets excited about Eminem.

Don't like the sound of this. P!nk's such a wet fart. It's hard to take her seriously.

Iceman 28-05-2010 09:52 AM

glad to see he's branching out from the same old producers but a collaboration with Pink????? time will tell.......recovery just dropped down a notch in my eyes.

As narrow minded as it sounds I think Hip Hop like his should be kept to itself. I know he is very mainstream friendly but P!nk? I don't want the great ambiance of his stuff degenerate into an endless stream of radio friendly kool kid collaborations.

Leave that crap to Timbaland.

I never saw pink as a 'badass' or whatever, she seems to go for that image.

To be honest, I really don't think she does. I think she puts out songs like So What, to get the rest of her more subdued work the attention it deserves. Trust me, as a fan of her work for a very long time, I can vouch that her albums hold a lot more than the typical 'lets go kick ass and be hard and angry' P!nk that springs to mind immediately.

I think she actually has managed to do the one thing that so many of today's artist's fail in their work - the have variety in their lyrics. As was mentioned in another thread, so many of Eminem's work refers to his past marriage and relationship with his mother and daughter. Another example being Christina Aguilera, who, like the other two is a great lyricist, but so much of her work is about her past in domestic violence with her mother or about female empowerment. That's just two of her contemporaries I chose at radnom btw. Obviously all of the aforementioned issues are important but I think P!nk has managed to write equally as evocative lyrics without getting stuck in a rut.

I can say yeah, shes done a wide range of genres and worked with a lot of people. I guess what she does isn't 'badass' but creating a persona for what she thinks maybe is relevant at that time. But is also able to produce personal songs and that. I do like that about pink and well any artist who are able to produce, a fun jokey song and then serious personal song and get credit for both. Takes a respected artist to do that really and i'd say shes achieved that status.

I mean just looking through her album, she's touched so many subjects, politics [Dear Mr. President], friendship [Who Knew], family troubles [Family Portrait], drugs [Just Like A Pill], divorce [Please Don't Leave Me], ect. and that's just taking into account her ballads! As opposed to Eminem's 20 songs about his mom and Kym :P

Oh no not at all, haha. Like I said they might lack variety but I still hugely respect the likes of Em, which is why I'm so excited for this collaboration to see what these two great forces come up with together

InOne 28-05-2010 11:11 PM

Guess it will be either epic or shyte, at the moment can't see how they'd come together. But you never know lol

eminem covered all of them too....he just really hates his mother and ex wife.

Noel 28-05-2010 11:15 PM

This could be interesting. P!nk and Eminem seem to be getting very "emotional" these days in their music, so it could be an interesting combination..

yeah but I mean if you look at the majority of his work, he finds little ways to bring it back to his personal, family life at almost all times. not that there's anything wrong with that, he does it so terribly well.

Zippy 28-05-2010 11:54 PM

Pink is pure AOR radio friendly. I like that Glitter song she did but her shouty power poprock stuff bores my tits off. For schoolgirls.
