Why the 'live feed' fuss?!?

Really do not get why people rate the 'live feed' so much. All we've heard is moaning about it. I've been a fan since bb1 and I have to say that live feed is the most boring part of the whole thing. Hours of nothing. Birds tweeting they even cut away when something interesting happens. Can't believe people het excited by it

DigitalSid 04-06-2010 07:07 AM

Because we're Big Brother fans and the show without streaming is not Big Brother, the whole concept is lost without the live feed. It's a televised 13 week slumber party.

keithafc 04-06-2010 07:15 AM

I agree. Live feed is a load of old nonsense for hardcore fans to sit around being sad, watching people sleep or watch HMs walking about.

I don't see the point of it.

bbnut 04-06-2010 07:48 AM

I'm pro live feed. Most people don't sit around all day watching it. I mainly used to watch when HM's were doing a task or nominating. I would never watch them sleep. You can't fit 24 hours of footage into the HL's show and it's quite interesting to see an entire conversation on LF, rather than an edited one on the HL's. Also in the HL's you are more likely to see people being silly / kissing / arguing, but on the LF you can listen to quite interesting conversations that tell you much more about a HM than watching them fall over / bitch about someone / have a w*nk.

I remember Gerry BB8 was quite an interesting HM on the LF, he knew alot about history and was quite intelligent, but of course for the HL's show we were more likely to see Chanelle having a tantrum or the twins screaming about pink stuff. I obviously understand that they have to choose the most entertaining clips for the HL shows, but this is a perfect example of why LF is important.

Woosh!

keithafc 04-06-2010 08:14 AM

Its the general opinions now that the HMs are weirdos and designed to create drama now. Why would i want to watch this on Live feed? Im just looking for a good drama now from BB, so bring on the highlights show and lets get a great series going.

AJ. 04-06-2010 08:25 AM

I probably wont watch it but really glad it might be back, nice to know its there if you get bored lol.

They won't be able to give people bad edits without us knowing either

Stu 04-06-2010 08:48 AM

Why the fuss? Because some people like it.

The only thing worse than hardcore fans who moan are those who go 'yeah woteva mate live feed was for da nerdz!'.

BBDodge 04-06-2010 08:55 AM

Without live feed BB is Shipwrecked in a House with ugly people.

*mazedsalv** 04-06-2010 10:57 AM

Urm because the concept and point of the show back in the early days was "You can watch the drana unfold live infront of your very eyes" I cant see how anyone can say that it is not a big deal! Its the major part of the show, its as important as us evicting people.... its what mkes it difference. By axing LF it completely got rid of any real feel about it and it was just an ordinary show.

Also its because the producers will edit housemates in a certain way *cough cough... if we didnt have 24/7 during BB9 Luke would have won..... guaranteed.

bansheewails 04-06-2010 11:00 AM

Lf meant that we 'really' knew who started the row, or stole something or was a great entertainer without being spoon fed by channel4!

Niamh. 04-06-2010 11:38 AM

LF means on a Friday night after the eviction you can carry on watching after the show ends!

Do we have to pay for it though, did I hear that right? Is it not going to be on telly then?

UK only too, damn channel4

Patrick 04-06-2010 11:46 AM

Because your on a BB Forum, with massive BB Fans like myself, who would do almost anything to enjoy the last series with live feed.

Just because you dont like it doesnt mean we cant, I thought some people on here were pass making other members feel sad about liking BB.

It's more then that though...

It keeps the programe honest and makes it harder for an agenda to be edited into the show and for our perception of the HMs to be jaundiced.

I was shocked the first time I was shown how situations were edited in the show (people present in arguments being wholly cut out and different shots spliced together to make a new 'reality') when posters compared the shown version to the live feed version.

The extent shown situations were altered was eye opening to say the least and BB is all the more fake with no LF.

Everyone has to care about getting the truest picture possible of the HMs and their relationships right?

i complained when the live feed was axed but i never actually used to watch it lol, i used to have it on in the background when nothing else was on tv but never actually paid attention

Fetch The Bolt Cutters 04-06-2010 12:33 PM

and tbh im still not happy with it only coming back online it should be back on red button. I got the BB8 and BB9 online live feed free coz im with virgin. if they were still sponsering it would still be free

Hi there!

Been following the past week or so in the look out for some tidbits... BB is the only reality show I follow or post about so it's usually a year or so between me being active on it's forums :)

Claymores 04-06-2010 12:44 PM

Nobody could watch 24/7 for 13 weeks even if they desired to - it's not physically possible.

The whole point is that people do it in relays so that at any point you could go on a fansite and read if anything noteworthy or controversial has happened in the last hours. At any stage/any hour of the day there will be someone tuned-in who will report on a fansite.

Anyone who fails to get their head round this must be on on the extremely dimwitted pills

Doh Homers

Personally I think that the live feed is about as interesting as sitting in a field watching grass grow, but it should remain as a part of Big Brother because after all, the show is meant to be about being constantly watched isn't it?? I don't think an hour a night is constant. Live feed should stay, even though I don't like to watch it.

ButterflyGirl 04-06-2010 01:53 PM

I don't think it's the beginning and end all of BB as most of it is just the hm's talking and sitting around all day, the best bits will be on the site anyway or someone might upload to youtube and we shouldn't have to pay as it's the last series fgs it's just thier way to make a lot of money and they can't be that broke imo.
