Is Narnia!!! behind the bedroom wardrobe??
 

is it me or dose this wardrobe have The Chronicles of Narnia written all over it :conf:

i just think to myself why have it when producers know it could be place were housemates can hide from the camera's in have secret convo's is it worth the risk unless its going to be used as somthing speshulll!

it could just be a fully functional wardrobe to hang clothes from that at a later date opens at the back for a secret room...would be more like narnia with hanging clothes no? lol

It could be something, that'd be so cool, alike narnia, BB tells a housemate a riddle-

There are more places in Big Brother's globe,
for instance take a look at the wadrobe...

Of course BB would come up with a better one but that'd be soo cool!

Finally I can tell you something about this!

Not specifically about this wardrobe but about something that absolutely had been in early consideration and planning stages a few years ago for (at least) BBUSA,
but,
may well have been floated back or forth with BBUK.

The idea was this:
A secret 'crawlspace' was proposed for the 'Alice in Wonderland' theme and of course called 'The Rabbit Hole'.
It was meant to be part of a house which was full of riddles and puzzles built into the decor.

The proposed plot would have a house guest (HM) led to solve and find a secret tunnel which would allow them to crawl and slide down a little passage and end up underneath a bed in the 'HoH room'.
[here it helps to know BBUSA rules and why this is massive and ultimate eavesdropping]

I had heard under the bed and in another version behind the bedroom wall somewhere (the old scooby-doo false painting idea).

Sorry but I don't remember exactly why the plan was scrapped but the strangest thing is that even by BB3 many HMs were already actually looking for architecture, secret rooms etc.
In BB5 the guys actually went about measuring walls trying to formulate that there was another section that may be housing evicted HMs who could see them.
So it might be that was part of the reason the 'rabbit hole' or in this case the 'Narnia wardrobe' secret eavesdropping room/hiding spot' was never done?

But yes - this idea was definitely created and got as far as 'early planning stages' before.

Since this is the last BBUK I am really really hoping they do it. I always thought it was a clever thing.

[btw.. i have not seen all the BB UK seasons or followed all the other international ones so someone here might tell me someone DID do this once before in a BB house??]

I just know it was up for BBUSA and never made it that time around.

But it would be cool if there was a secret room behind it, just take the back off when they want to use it and there we go you've got you secret room entrance, that would be sooo cool :)

in the 3-d tour thing you can do inside the closet and the wardrobe is actualy buit into the wall and it only like a few inches out, So it is a posiblility =]

I thought this, I'm hoping for a Narnia task where a whole other house is hidden behind that wardrobe and only one housemate can know, kinda like the secret garden?? I think it would be awesome! :spin:

The bedroom's on the side of the house where BB7's HND or BB8's Halfway House was so depending on how small the bedroom is, maybe it is a hidden room :D

Don't know if you saw the prison task in BB7??

I got a little confused whilst reading that lol so I'm hoping that this has something to do with what you were talking about. Feel free to tell me if not :) .

In BB7 the House next door was turned into a prison, and the prisoners received a cake which had a key to secret spa. To get into the spa they had to pull away a bed and crawl through a tunnel behind it and then they were in the spa. They're task was to hide the Spa's existence from the other housemates who were the prison officers in the main house that had to inspect the prison regularly.

Hope that was what you were looking for lol!

I had forgotten about that part but that was basically along the ideas of what BBUSA wanted to do at least in the sense of 'secret tunnel',
but,
in their case they have a 'Head of House' who gets to nominate the two players for eviction.
The 'Head of House' gets a private room.
As you can imagine the may hide in their private room and discuss strategies and make deals.
So in this case the 'Alice in Wonderland' type of secret 'rabbit hole' was to be basically an 'eavesdropping' tunnel heh

The one idea I knew about was (physically) something like the BBUK 'Prison' idea where a door/closet thing would allow the 'Alice' to slide under the floor and underneath the bed of the HoH.

But yes.. the same construction type idea.

*later i heard it may just be a false panel and then the person would be able to look and listen through a mirror or painting type thing.

I hope BB11 will do something like this with the 'Narnia Closet' maybe leading to a secret 'eavesdropping' corner of the garden?
