Aberdeen: the capital for Britain's love-cheats

THEY would sell their wives for the price of a buttery, according to the old music hall jokes, but a new study has found that Aberdonians are also more likely than anyone else to cheat on their spouses.
A survey for Cosmopolitan magazine has found that almost half of men from the northeast of Scotland would have a no-strings fling while their partners were out of town — the highest number in the UK..............
..........The Granite City’s most sexually active resident was Lord Byron. The bisexual poet was notorious for his debauched behaviour and countless affairs.
At the opposite end of the spectrum is Cameron Stout, the former Big Brother winner who, at 34, is still a virgin.
“As an adopted Aberdonian I feel I have to stand up for the reputation of the men of the northeast,” he said.
“They are good upstanding people and certainly don’t strike me as a bunch of love-cheats.
“I read another survey recently that said that Aberdonians were the sexiest people in the UK and I wholeheartedly believe that.”
