Which is bigger?

The world cup or the olympics?

MeMyselfAndI 11-06-2010 09:24 PM

olympics

King Gizzard 11-06-2010 09:25 PM

World Cup by far

More teams have a chance, their is more prestige and honour if you win the tournament overall, and its just one sport

setanta 11-06-2010 09:26 PM

Wow, that's a toughy for me. Love them both. The only thing I hate about the Olympics is all these mickey mouse sports coming in, and actually, I have a real prob with some of the professional sports being introduced to it.

MissKittyFantastico 11-06-2010 09:28 PM

Tough one, really tough, but I'd have to say the olympics, I don't think you can much better than winning an olympic gold medal for you and your country.

I love them both but personally the WC is far more enjoyable.

World Cup.

'Conor 11-06-2010 09:31 PM

olympics is way more entertaining to watch than people kicking a ball into a net.

what are you on about, almost every country in the world takes part in the olympics whereas there is only about 40 in the world cup

MeMyselfAndI 11-06-2010 09:35 PM

Should of put a poll

Smithy 11-06-2010 09:35 PM

Olympics by far

Locke. 11-06-2010 09:38 PM

I didn't know the Olympics was still popular, I haven't heard about it since the time it was in Athens (2004 I think?). Were we not in the last one or something?

See, I've never understood that reasoning. Did you not watch Usain Bolt live? That was one of the greatest moment of athleticism I've ever witnessed. Spellbinding.

Ah David, I'm disappointed in you. I'll watch any sport that's on to be honest with you.

Patrick 11-06-2010 09:45 PM

Both are shit.

Only ones that really interest me are Football and Tennis. Will watch the Olympics if the UK are in it though.

I mean realistically, 4-5 nations have a chance of winning the Olympics like USA, Russia, China, Australia etc

Its much more varied in the World cup

Stacey. 11-06-2010 09:55 PM

prefer the World Cup.

Olympics.

\PJ/ 11-06-2010 10:03 PM

I love how people say kicking a ball and for the record i think both carry an amazing atmoshpere so i like both.

setanta 11-06-2010 10:54 PM

All I want to ask is do the English fans still prefer the World Cup even when they're not involved?
